The 18th annual Telluride (Colorado) Blues & Brews Festival and Blues & Brews has announced that Robert Cray will play this year’s event, which will be held September 16-18.
Cray helped to reignite the blues with his album Strong Persuader in 1986. His voice, guitar work, songs and live performances helped him rise to international fame and become a 2011 inductee to the Blues Hall of Fame.
The Festival will also feature headliners Willie Nelson, The Flaming Lips, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Additional performances include Dweezil Zappa, moe., Marcia Ball, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Mavis Staples, Anders Osborne, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and more.
