Jimmie Vaughan performed with the University of Texas Longhorn Band during halftime of the Texas/Texas Tech football game on Thanksgiving day. The band played a medley of Vaughan favorites, then the guitarist sauntered to the 50-yard line to perform “Texas Flood,” accompanied by the band, which includes 350 students.

“I’ve been asked to perform with a lot of great bands in my life, but this is definitely the biggest, and probably one of the most exciting,” said Vaughan. “It doesn’t get any more Texas than this.
