Bassist Mike Porcaro Passes

Veteran bassist Mike Porcaro, 59, passed away March 15 following a decade-long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He was primarily known for his work with Toto, along with his brothers Jeff (1954-1992) on drums and Steve on keyboards. Porcaro was interviewed in the November 2000 issue of Vintage Guitar.
