Luther Allison – Reckless

Reckless

Luther Allison is the hottest thing going today in the world of the blues, and this, his third release on Alligator, keeps his tradition burning strong.

Reckless is classic Luther Allison. It is chock full of the no-holds-barred powerhouse performances you expect. Armed with his trademark golden Les Paul, Luther comes out blazing and he never lets up. His backing band – James Solberg’s road-tested group – is supplemented on several cuts by the Memphis Horns and a Hammond B3, making for an even bigger sound. With veteran producer Jim Gaines manning the board once again, this disc is more of a good thing.

If you liked Luther’s groundbreaking CD Soul Fixin’ Man and his follow-up, Blue Streak , you’ll want this new release.
