A previously-unauthorized archival live recording from a short-lived incarnation of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers was released April 21. John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers – Live in 1967 features Mayall, Peter Green (guitar) Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass). This lineup was together for only three months before Green, Fleetwood, and McVie left to form Fleetwood Mac. The recordings were made by a Dutch fan at several London clubs. Mayall recently acquired the reel-to-reel tapes and restored them with the technical assistance of Eric Crone, of Forty Below Records.
