Williams, Capolino to Play Concert to Benefit Wounded VetsFormer New York Yankees outfielder and Latin-Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist Bernie Williams will join other musicians including guitarist Kristen Capolino and multi-instrumentalists Jon Cobert and Tom Dudley at The Westchester All Stars Christmas for Wounded Veterans, November 30 at the Irvington (New York) Town Hall Theater. The event will spotlight holiday music performed by Westchester County bands and musicians, and proceeds will benefit veterans organizations.

More than 50,000 Americans have been wounded in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001, and post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other forms of combat trauma have affected more than 42,000. The U.S. Department of Defense says healthcare for these veterans could cost a half-trillion dollars, and organizations such as The Gary Sinise Foundation,Veterans Adaptive Sports, Inc. and The Montrose Veteran’s Administration help raise awareness and funds to support veterans.
