Chaquico preps blues album.Guitarist Craig Chaquico is set to take a walk on the bluesier side of the street with his Blind Pig debut, Fire Red Moon, set for release October 16.

Tracks include “Lie To Me” (with vocal by Noah Hunt of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band) and “Devil’s Daughter” to a cover of Robert Johnson’s “Crossroads,” an instrumental version of Albert King’s “Born Under A Bad Sign,” Muddy Waters’ “Rollin’ And Tumblin’,” and originals that echo the stylings of blues/rock forerunners such as Cream, Hendrix, ZZ Top, and Steely Dan. The instrumental “Blue On Blue” should carry a broad appeal, even to Chaquico’s smooth-jazz fans. Learn more at blindpigrecords.com.
