So what is it? Its original black-finished spruce top is simply ladder-braced from within, but its back and sides feature Brazilian rosewood with dramatic bookmatched figure. Its unbound 18-fret fingerboard — also of rosewood — sports only a few small, round dots for position makers, yet intricate multicolored wood purfling graces much of the rest of the instrument, including the top body edge, rosette, and back centerseam. Its configuration of flimsy, stamped-steel trapeze tailpiece and simple movable bridge (usually the hallmark of a budget flat-top) stands in stark contrast to the high quality and craftsmanship demonstrated throughout the guitar. It is curiously both deluxe and plain. Click to read more

Brad PaisleyBrad Paisley

Brad Paisley's new book, Diary of a Player: How My Musical Heroes Made a Guitar Man Out of Me, is, essentially, an autobiography. But really, it's not so much about him.

Anyone who has ever spoken with Paisley will tell you the "aw shucks" humbleness he exhibits on awards shows, in concert, and in the book, is not a front. BMT Overdrive - BMT is for Bass, Middle, and Treble. An overdrive pedal with a three way tone stack provides more control over your tone while a mix of silicone and germanium diodes create truly unique drive characteristics. When these elements are combined with the famous (almost mythical) JRC4558D opamp you get a pedal that goes from slight overdrive to moderate distortion. Click Here for your chance to win.
