A11028 - 1952 Gibson ES-175 electric guitar in sunburst finish. The guitar was completely refinished some time ago, quite possibly by Gibson as evidenced by the serial number stamped into the back of the headstock. That number matches the one on the label inside the body. The guitar also has many unoriginal components, namely the tuners, pickup, pots, pickguard & tailpiece.

Cosmetic Condition: The guitar is in very good condition overall with some light weather checking & surface scratches.

Neck: Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard & double parallelogram pearloid inlays. Original frets are in great shape with no wear. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.

Body: Single Florentine cutaway, hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Chrome trapeze tailpiece; floating rosewood bridge appears to be original. Tortoise-style pickguard & brackets are not original.

Pickup: P-90 single coil neck pickup is a later-period Gibson - 7.87K ohms. Single volume & tone controls - the gold speed knobs appear to be original, but the pots are later-period.
