ARMYMANDO
Description: Early 1900's Gibson Army Navy flat iron mandolin. Originally made in the first golden age by Gibson. They were built for service members overseas during World War I. Surprisingly good tone, despite its simple design and low cost.

Cosmetic Condition: Good Condition- Original finish on top & neck, back has had some finish work, back has two repaired cracks & one top crack near fingerboard. Original pat. pickguard and clamshell tailpiece. Original strip tuners w/ ivoroid buttons. Has lots of character and wear: nicks, dings, & scratches. Frets are in excellent condition.

Body: Flat-iron or pancake style, flat spruce top, flat maple back & sides, ebony bridge, clamshell tailpiece, tortoise plastic pickguard, & original tailpiece.

Neck: Mahogany neck, 18 fret ebony fingerboard, 14" scale, 1 1/8'' nut width, dot inlay position markers, paddle headstock, 4-on-a-plate open-gear tuners with ivoroid buttons

Playability/Sound: Professionally setup by our guitar tech w/ D'addario light strings. Very resonant full sound and the balance is superb!
