$ 995.00

It's a 1988 Fender Maple Precision bass neck on a Sunburst Fender Jazz body also from the late 80'. In great condition for it's age. It has been set up by pro's and has a new Warwick case. This bass plays and sounds great there are no issues. It has a couple of dings nothing big--I have talked to a number of Bass players who agree this is a highly sought after configuration. I am open to trades as well--especially hdtv or guitar stuff

here is some information from the person who I got this bass from
Between 1984 and 1989 there were no Fenders built in US. They had what claimed to be "made in usa" models but there was no actual Fender mfg. plants in the usa at that time. The way they got away with all that was, the blank necks and bodies were made for them in the usa, but then shipped to Japan (and Korea), for assembly and paint, etc...

Meanwhile, Fernandes, and Greco, were acually building the guitars. Fernandes also made the vintage Fender style "series 400" ESP's back in the 80's which are also very sought after.

The headstock says made in japan---
