1969 Gibson B-45-12-N 12-String Acoustic w/HSC

In the 60s, Gibson produced a couple different models of acoustic 12-string - one based on the smaller bodied B-25, and this one based on the Jumbo (J) size. The B-45 was introduced in 1961, and for the first couple years it came with a pin bridge and slope shoulders. Then the specs changed in 1964 to a square shouldered body. This is the square-shouldered version with adjustable bridge, trapese tailpiece, solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. Personally, I prefer the trapese tailpiece on these 12-Strings. Every other Gibson 12-String I've ever picked up from the 1960s with the bridge pins has had MASSIVE bellying, rendering the guitar virtually unplayable and necessitating major work at some point in its existence. This was a known issue at Gibson and is why they created this version of the model - to combat that problem.
Other than some finish checking, this example is in fantastic condition! The top is flat a Kansas landscape, the neck is straight, neck angle is perfect, the action is low, and it's all original. The sound is very lively and rich with boomy bottom end, balanced strumming, and great sustain. This is a very nice vintage Gibson 12-String with no issues or excuses.
