$ 2,400.00

The Rally is a historically significant guitar that was only made a couple years. The Rally featured a pair of Hilo Tron Pickups with their so-called "Sonic Boom" active treble boost circuit. This is one of the first if not THE first active circuit ever put into a production model electric guitar. Hofner was the only other major manufacturer to use an active, battery-powered, circuit in a production model guitar until this time. The major players didn't follow suit and venture into active circuitry until much later. The active trend later picked up steam when Ovation introduced the first solid body active guitar in 1972. Later, BC Rich used active circuits in their boutique builds and Gibson introduced the Moog-designed RD Series in the late 70s.

This example is in excellent, all original condition. The active circuit still works perfectly. Original hardshell case is included.
