$ 800.00

Like most Valco amps of the 50s and 60s, this is an amazing little tone machine. Don't let its 8" speakers and size fool you, this little demon is capable of room-filling vintage tone with a responsiveness and intimacy that only a single-ended 6V6 powered combo can deliver. It can take your from silky, sweet, tube saggy cleans right up to bone churning crunch when cranked. Like some kind of angry dwarf star, the 8" Jensens spit out fireballs of super-heated atomic material when driven, but glow with the multi-colored textures of an ancient nebula when cleaned up with your volume knob.

As with most Valco amps, the reverb is nothing to write home about, but it does add a nice halo to your notes. The Tremolo on the other hand is just about the best you will ever hear! It is right up there in the Parthenon alongside the best of Magnatone, in my most humble opinion.

It's been serviced and recapped. The tubes and all other components are 100% original, right down to the BLACK PLATE RCA TUBES! This one sports 4 black plate RCA 12AX7A's in the preamp section, one black plate RCA 6V6GT for power, and a 5Y3GT rectifier. All trannies and speakers date to 1964.
