Here is a video I made demonstrating this amp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BITLx82LlDg&feature=youtu.be

It was made in Chicago by Valco, the same company that made Oahu, Gretsch, Airline, National, and some Harmony and Silvertone models as well.

Valco amps, and Supro in particular, are becoming more and more highly sought after and collected as the years go by. Once relegated to the kitschy bargain bin, these amps are finally gaining the respect they deserve. In general, Valco amps have excellent tube sag, are very responsive to touch, and are easily overdriven, often to the point of not needing overdrive pedals of any kind.

This single 6V6 powered model is about 5 watts. It's not known so much for its overdrive (which it will do also when pushed to the max), but for its Fender Champ-like clean tone, which is sparkly and lively and very touch sensitive. With a humbucker-equipped guitar, you can achieve a very nice crunch tone when your bear down on the strings. See the video for more on this!!!

The low wattage and propensity to be overdriven at high volumes also make it a fantastic amp for harmonica/mouth harp.
