1967 Fender Coronado XII 12-String Electric Guitar Cherry Red w/ Case
$ 1,600.00
The neck stamp on this example date it to 14 FEB 1967 B, making it one of the earliest Coronado XIIs in existence. In fact, a NAMM Special model was recently sold by a dealer with the same neck stamp date and a close serial number: http://www.grouseguitars.com.au/sold/fendercoronadoxii.htm
This example is entirely original. The pickups are the original Fender-stamped Model 200 DeArmonds, which have been adjusted and sound phenomenal! A great feature of the Coronado XII is the bridge saddles actually have 3 grooves per saddle, facilitating both a 12-string AND 6-string setup if desired! This one is obviously set up for 12-string.
Everything on this guitar has been adjusted. Strings are new. The intonation has been set. String height has been set. Frets leveled, crowned and polished. Neck adjusted. Pickup magnet pole pieces have been adjusted for balance and volume. In short, this thing is rearing to go. No excuses. It plays great and sounds even greater. It's ready to jingle and jangle.
There are a few tiny dings here and there and some finish checking, but nothing out of the ordinary for a guitar of this age.
