This is a 1955 Martin 00-28G. The G series guitars were built for nylon strings with 12 frets to the body. However, unlike the C series guitars that followed traditional 12 fret neck AND body design, the G series guitar combined the 12 fret neck with a 14 fret body shape. Fan braced spruce top, old growth straight grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with slotted headstock, ebony bridge, ivoroid-bound body with herringbone top trim and Martin logo on back of peghead. This guitar is in excellent, all original overall condition and includes a newer hardshell case.
