$ 1,800.00

This is an early Michael Hauver recreation of the Stella that was used by the blues artists of the early 1920's-30's. This Maryland guitar maker is know for this auditorium size guitar. This one has a solid headstock, 25.4" scale and is set up comfortably. Unique design with raised fingerboard and slightly arched top.
Hauver is inspired by the guitars of the 1920's and 30's, the concept of combining the ladder bracing pattern and the stylistic aspects of the past with the modern building techniques and materials of the present was born. The goal was to have a 'new-old' guitar which would be easy to repair and adjust through the life of the instrument. "Every guitar in its lifetime will need some type of repair or adjustment; if not, the guitar is over-built. That is why I advocate bolt-on necks, graphite reinforcement in necks and reverse kerfing." This model no longer appears available and with new "Stellas" selling for $ 2800 this used one is a great value.
