Hofner's premium archtop guitar. Rare, Vintage and Collectable
The decorative jazz-guitar with fancy G clef logo on the headstock, sickle shaped soundholes and diamond-shaped hole
(the G clef logomark was also into the hole) near the neck, Hofner 464 model. Acoustic model was only available. I believe this is from 1955-57.
Body Size:16" lower bout, 12" upper bout, 2 15/16" depth, 20.25" long: venetian (round) cutaway: cutaway tapers with the neck, with curved body detailing on cutaway side
Body Woods: Solid Spruce, one piece flamed maple back, flamed maple sides.
Finish: Dark red to red burst
Neck Woods: Five piece maple/ mahogany/ maple/ mahogany/ maple
Fingerboard Style/ Woods /Inlay: Rosewood fingerboard
Scale Length: 25.5", Jumbo Frets
F-holes: Diamond-shaped hole below fingerboard, single thick layer of white, also with white plastic bar that looks like music staff, with treble clef in centre. Flame-shaped f-holes, single thick layer of white binding.
