Description: 1958 Gibson EB-1 electric bass in natural brown finish.

Cosmetic Condition: Very cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light weather checking. The headstock has had some repair work done to it & the whole bass has been completely refinished.

Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream-colored side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. The headstock has had some wood removed as evidenced by the inconsistency of its shape & missing serial number. Unoriginal Schaller tuners stamed made in W. Germany & the original screw holes have been filled. There was some damage around the G-tuner & there is wood filler & lacquer cracking around it. The area was professionally repaired & very stable with no playability issues. Unoriginal truss rod cover. 1 11/16" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length.

Body: Violin-shaped, solid mahogany body with an arched top & flat back. Original nickel wrap-around bridge. Missing pickguard & the screw hole on the side has been filled. Unoriginal end-pin screw.

Pickup: Original neck pickup with master volume & tone controls - unoriginal black speed knobs. Only one pot code can be read & dates to 1958.
