This is one amazing guitar. The original P90s scream and growl like a starving dog.

When I first got this guitar I was confused by the Bigsby, which the original owner swore was factory installed. I had until that time not seen another SG Special with a factory Bigsby. I bought this from the original owner (whose name is stenciled on the front and back of the case) who bought the guitar in 1967. The store he bought it from told him it was original, factory ordered. Apparently they were a Gibson dealer and someone had ordered it but never completed the transaction. They told him they were letting the students who came in for lessons use it.

I called Gibson who say they did offer Bigsbys as a premium upgrade on any SG model at the time. All electronics are completely original with unbroken solder. The tuners had replacements on at one time but have been restored to vintage correct Deluxe Klusons. The wrap bridge is a newer replacement. The case is original. The handle has been replaced with a leather one. No cracks or bre
