$ 300.00

There is no name or numbers on this banjo, however, it has the alternating pattern on the nickel plated cast flange and headstock shape associated with Stromberg-Voisinet banjos. It also has a gold lyre decal scheme common to Strombergs of the 1920s. The neck, resonator and tone ring are mahogany. Fretboard is ebony. 23" Scale length. Mother of pearl dot inlays. The head is calfskin and is likely original. Bridge is a Grover, which could be original. Tuning friction pegs look to be stainless steel, and based on other Strombergs I've seen, are original. The tuning buttons look to be aluminum.

It holds tune very well.The playability is top-notch and the resonance is heavenly. Ever thought about playing Bach on a banjo? This one would be wonderful for that. The last note you played continues to ring nicely into the next.
