Looking For 1972 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top

In 1976 I owned a '72 LP Gold Top. I believe it was a Deluxe, but I have no documentation records or photos. (What was I thinking?) Iwas 24 years old and I had not saved enough money during the course of the year to pay my property taxes in November. Unfortunately, I had to part company with my LP. (What was I thinking?) I am now 60 years old, own 25 guitars and rue the day I sold the LP so long ago. I now have casual interest in acquiring a '72 Les Paul for my collection. I have absolutely no expectations of ever tracking down the original guitar due to my lack of documentation, but it was purchased at Starbird Music in Portland, Maine in the early to mid 1970's. I would be interested in seeing what VG subscribers out there might have to offer, both in terms of tracking down the old guitar and what there might be out there for sale. Please feel free to email me - kocasey@braemarnet.com - Thanks. Ken Casey - Bristow, Virginia
