1994 Fender Custom Shop Dick Dale Stratocaster finished in chartreuse sparkle. We recently acquired this guitar as part of a large collection. The previous owner had purchased the guitar used & unfortunately the original Certificate of Authenticity & original neck plate were missing, so there is no serial number. We were able to date the guitar based on the year written on the bottom of the neck.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - some light surface scratches. The previous owner met Dick Dale after one of his shows in 1996 & had him sign the body of the guitar in black marker. However, there is no provenance included with the guitar to support this.
Neck: C-shape maple neck with reverse headstock. Rosewood fingerboard with 21 frets & cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Dick Dale signature on the front of the headstock & Custom Shop logo on the back. The date on the bottom of the neck is 6-27-94.
Body: Solid alder body with 3-ply mint pickguard. Vintage-style tremolo bridge.
Pickups: Three custom '50s pickups with special switching - the bridge pickup is set at a reverse angle. 3-way selector switch.
