114995 - 1966 Fender Electric XII 12-string electric guitar.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has been refinished in Candy Apple Red. Both the body & the headstock have been refinished, although the small section surrounding the headstock decal appears to be the original finish. The body finish has been intentionally "aged" with weather checking & there are various minor nicks & dings.
Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with no wear. The original tuners have been replaced with chrome Schallers & the original holes filled. Unoriginal brass nut. The neck stamp reads 12 NOV 65 B. The serial number on the neck plate dates the guitar to 1966.
Body: Solid alder body with original 3-ply white pickguard. String-thru bridge with 12-adjustable saddles. A strip of wood has been glued to the bottom edge of the tailpiece.
Pickups: Original Electric XII single coils both dating to 1965. 4-way selector switch; single volume & tone controls - pots date to 1965.
Set Up: Professionally set up by our guitar tech & strung with brand new D'Addario .10-.46 gauge strings.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action; smooth playing neck; classic Fender 12-string tones - lots of chime!
