$ 7,500.00

Famed guitarist, Dick Rosmini\'s 12-String guitar: A 1953 Martin D-28, serial # 132201. As with all 28 series Martins of that period, it has a Brazilian Rosewood body and spruce top. Candelas Guitars of Los Angeles converted it to a 12-string, circa 1960/1961. Purchased by Dick from the Candelas shop in 1961, it is the only 12-string used on any of his recordings as both artist for the Elektra and Imperial labels and as a side man/session player. He can be heard playing it on the “Black Stallion” & “Leadbelly” soundtracks and on numerous recording dates from the ‘60’s through the late ‘80’s.

Dick personally fashioned and installed the individual saddle pieces and dark-colored tuning knobs. The former was to improve intonation. The latter to replace knobs that had failed. The guitar has no structural issues whatsoever and intonation is near perfect, a rarity in a 12-string. The tone & volume are unbelievably good. Comes with its original hard shell case and letter of authenticity.
