$ 15,000.00

1959 Fender Precision Bass in extraordinary condition. Features rosewood slab fretboard and 3-tone sunburst finish. Completely original except for a replaced input jack. This includes finish, frets, electronics, hardware, nut, pick guard and pickup and bridge covers.

The original finish is in exceptionally fine condition, with none of the usual wear normally seen on a vintage instrument. . The maple neck is true and straight. It has original thick slab rosewood finger board with clay dot inlays, \"spaghetti logo\" peghead decal, tortoise-shell grain plastic beveled edge laminated pick guard, and nickel -plated hardware. It has 1959 date-coded pots and pencilled serial number on the body, behind the neck, indicating a manufacture date of 1959. Serial number has been verified by Fender as indicating original 1959 manufacture.

In addition to being in very unusually fine and clean condition, the instrument is light and extremely playable. . It has been appraised by two independent vintage guitar shops, and has been deemed to be valued at $15,000 to $17,000. This is an unusually beautiful instrument, and is extremely collectible.

I have owned this bass since 1966, and I purchased it then from the original owner.
