Description: 1952 Martin 000-28 acoustic guitar. We recently acquired this guitar from the son of the original owner, who purchased it brand new in 1952. The guitar was well-maintained over the years & up until recently was kept mainly in storage. There has been some work done to it - professional refret & bridge reset. Also it's possible the neck was reset at some time. The previous owner didn't recall ever having the neck reset, but there's evidence of some broken finish where the neck joins the body on the treble side. At any rate, the neck is straight & very playable.
Cosmetic Condition: Great condition considering its age - no cracks! There's some finish delamination on the treble side, lower bout. Various nicks, dings & surface scratches from play wear. Some light weather checking & small finish chips. Overall the guitar has a cool vintage vibe to it with a gorgeous patina & just the right look!
