Condition: The pickup is original though does not show an ohm reading and will require replacing. The pots also show high ohm readings and may also require replacing. For these reasons, the lap steel is being sold AS-IS. Various nicks, scratches and dings throughout finish. Fingerboard shows a light sticker ghost, but is otherwise perfectly clean. Original tuning machines are in perfect working condition. Great project for anyone who wants a vintage lap steel with their own electronics.
Playability: Even without plugging this lap steel in, anyone can tell it will be a great player. Its solid mahogany construction and square neck design make it ideal for adding natural sustain and being easy to play.
