Description: 1940's Oahu Tonemaster Mahogany Lap Steel Guitar

Condition. 100% original. Fair condition. The pickup on this guitar gives off high Ohm readings, though still has some volume. The treble side tuning machines are non-original and may require replacing as the G string falls out of tune. The electronics and controls are all original, however in rough condition and may require some touch up work. For these reasons, this lap steel is being sold AS-IS. The body/neck shows some nicks, dings, and scratches, along with some weather checking. No structural damage or repairs.

Body: Three piece double bound mahogany body with original tobacco burst finish, tailpiece, bridge cover, and controls. The back has a five screw cover plate allowing easy access to electronics. The plate has a tone switch making the output either higher or lower.

Neck: 25" scale length solid mahogany neck through body design with zero radius rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl dot inlays, and silver painted fret numbers on all 21 frets. Headstock features Oahu Publishing Company Cleveland logo, with original tuners on the bass side, and replaced tuning machines on the treble side.
