As guitar builders go, few names are more known - or renowned - than Roger Giffin.
The British luthier began dabbling in repair in 1965, after he saw an acoustic guitar that a friend's father had built from a kit. "I thought at the time that I could do that, so I purchased a similar kit and built one with a little help from my dad, who was also a keen woodworker," he said. He also started taking on various guitar-repair projects.
