Jon Lord Passes
Jon Lord, keyboardist with Deep Purple, Whitesnake, and other bands, died Monday after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He had been battling pancreatic cancer. As a member of Deep Purple’s original incarnation, Lord co-wrote many of the group’s most popular songs, including “Smoke On The Water.”
